Quarterback Matthew Stafford was a full participant in the Lions' Wednesday practice, as he deals with an unspecified injury to his ribs that he suffered against Minnesota.

Several of his teammates weren't on the practice field with him, though. Linebacker DeAndre Levy (hip) and tight end Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring) both continued to sit out. Levy has been out since the middle of the preseason, and Pettigrew was hurt in the game against the Vikings.

Defensive end Ezekiel Ansah is also dealing with a back injury, per the Lions' practice report, and did not participate at all on Wednesday. He had seven tackles (three for loss), a sack and a quarterback hit against Minnesota this weekend.

Four players, including three safeties, were limited in Wednesday's practice. Offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas (ankle) was the lone offensive player who was limited. Joining him as limited participants were safeties Don Carey (foot), James Ihedigbo (knee) and Glover Quin (lower leg).

Ihedigbo and Quin are both listed as first-team safeties on the Lions' depth chart. Against the Vikings on Sunday, Ihedigbo came away with nine tackles (seven solo). Quin, meanwhile, has one of the Lions' two interceptions on the season, one that he returned for 31 yards against San Diego.
