Spartan Stadium Evacuated Due To Bomb Threat

EAST LANSING (WWJ) - Police on Wednesday evacuated Michigan State University's Spartan Stadium and a nearby area of campus due to a bomb threat.

According to a statement on the school's website, MSU police dispatch revived a call Wednesday afternoon saying there was a bomb at the stadium.  All stadium personnel were  evacuated to Wells Hall and Munn Arena.

A running track and MSU's Central Services garage were also evacuated, MSU police spokeswoman Florene McGlothian-Taylor told the Lansing State Journal,

Witnesses reported seeing police cars and a K-9 team nearby the stadium.

Police were asking people to avoid the area until further notice.

No injuries have been reported.
