1 Person Killed During Shooting At Eastland Mall

HARPER WOODS (WWJ) -- A fatal shooting caused the lockdown of Eastland Center in Harper Woods on Saturday evening.

Police say that that one man was shot multiple times and killed outside of Burlington Coat Factory at around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Harper Woods police would not initially comment specifically on what is happening at the mall, other than the fact that it is a "fluid situation."

After being placed on lockdown, the mall was closed just before 8 p.m. Police have a man in custody who is believed to have been involved with the shooting.
