Snowmobiler Killed In Washtenaw County Crash

YORK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police say a snowmobiler has died after being struck by another snowmobile in Washtenaw County.

The Ann Arbor News reports the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday in York Township, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.

State police Sgt. Mark Thompson says two snowmobilers were riding on a road, with one following the other, and the first driver fell off and was struck by the second snowmobile. Thompson says the driver of the first snowmobile died at the scene.

Names of those involved weren't immediately released.

The crash is under investigation.
