Snow Day Vignettes: Snowmobiling In The City (Video)

ST. CLAIR SHORES (CBS DETROIT) - The heavy snowfall which blanketed Metro Detroit Sunday into Monday allowed some people to catch up with their favorite winter activities.

Some used the time to sled, others built forts and Sean Ninness took the opportunity to ride his snowmobile for the first time this winter.

Ninness gassed up his Polaris snowmobile and took it for a ride down his street in St. Clair Shores and along the dirt road behind his house.

"Feels better than being at work," said Ninness as he roared down the street and easily cut through the snow and ruts in the road.

With nearly 17 inches of snow, he had an ample snow pack to get his snowmobile up and running for the remainder of the winter.
