Snow Day Vignettes: Sledding In Roseville (Video)

ROSEVILLE (CBS Detroit) - The fresh layer of snow which fell overnight Sunday created the perfect base for sledding at Huron Park in Roseville.

And with a school cancelled due to a snow day, it provided families the opportunities to hit the slopes for a day of fun in Roseville and hills across the region.

"No school," exclaimed Katie Hogev, of Roseville, who was sledding for the time in her life.

She joined fellow Roseville Middle School student Madelyn Tribu in sledding down the hill and using her sled as snowboard.

"It's fun going sledding," Tribu said.

They both hoped for a second snow day Tuesday, and due to inclement weather, their wish was fulfilled by administrators who joined many other Macomb County school districts in closing school.
