Small Plane With Four Passengers Crashes In Michigan
BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. (AP) — Authorities are investigating a small plane crash in Berrien County in the southwest corner of Michigan.
The Federal Aviation Administration says four people were aboard a single-engine Piper PA-24 Comanche that crashed about 11:15 a.m. Friday in Berrien Springs, less than two miles from the Andrews University Airpark.
FAA spokesman Tony Molinaro says he doesn't yet have information on potential injuries or circumstances surrounding the crash.
Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Police Chief Rick Smiedendorf tells MLive.com that two people were seriously injured and two others sustained minor injuries.
The plane was traveling from the Richmond Municipal Airport in east-central Indiana. Television stations are reporting that the plane crashed in a neighborhood and that some houses lost power.
