Small Plane Crashes In Oakland County

PONTIAC (WWJ) -- According to multiple reports, a small airplane went down Saturday night in Oakland County.

The plane crashed before reaching Oakland County International Airport and into an area near Pontiac Lake due to engine problems, according to WDIV.

Police say that the plane came in too low and collided with a tree before losing a wing.

Weather conditions may have been a factor.

Reports indicate that the two passengers were certified pilots and were taken to an area hospital for severe cuts.
