Slurpees, Snacks...And Child Support? 7-Eleven Stores Now Taking Payments In Michigan

LANSING (AP) - A Slurpee with that child support?

The state of Michigan says parents can pay child support at thousands of 7-Eleven or Family Dollar stores across the country, starting Monday.

Customers will pay a $1.99 fee for the service. Erin Frisch, director of the state child support office, says officials are committed to offering options that are convenient for parents.

The instructions are at www.misdu.com.

The retailers will accept cash and then post the payments electronically. 7-Eleven and Family Dollar stores are working with electronic payment provider PayNearMe.

In many states, people can pay their federal taxes at 7-Eleven, also through PayNearMe.
