Skilled Trade Members Hold Up Ratification Of UAW-GM Tentative Agreement

DETROIT (WWJ) -- The UAW has concluded a week-long ratification process concerning a tentative agreement between the UAW and General Motors.

Members of the UAW have deemed the tentative agreement "not ratified." In accordance with the UAW's Constitution and applicable administrative guidance, the union will hold meetings with its UAW-GM Skilled Trades membership at each worksite over the next several days to find out why they rejected the deal.

The agreement wasn't ratified because nearly 60 percent of Skilled Trade members voted against it.
