Skeleton Racer Collides With Broom On Racetrack [VIDEO]

Most winter sports seem crazy to me. Falling on ice is much more painful than landing on a field or a court, in my experience at least.
When I was a teenager, I had the opportunity to go out to Muskegon and experience Luge racing firsthand. It was absolutely terrifying. I couldn't believe they would send a 15-year-old down a halfpipe of ice at 70 mph.
I could never imagine going headfirst down a track of ice, but that's what skeleton racers fearlessly do. Canadian Jane Channell was competing in championship event in Austria on Sunday when an errant push-broom found its way onto the track.
Skeleton, to me, is one of the craziest, most reckless sports out there...without the brooms.
