Shots Fired On Crowded Dance Floor At Dearborn Night Club

DEARBORN (WWJ) - Police in Dearborn are searching for the suspect who shot another person at a crowded night club in Dearborn.

The shooting took place last Saturday, Feb. 27, at Liv Lounge on Michigan Avenue at Monroe Street.

According to police, the victim got into an altercation on the dance floor with the suspect. Moments later, shots rang out and the victim received a non-life threatening wound.

Police say the shooting took place on a crowded dance floor with numerous witnesses. Officers are currently sorting through video surveillance and witness statements of the incident.

"Our number one priority is citizen safety," Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement. "When that becomes jeopardized, we will do everything in our power to ensure the perpetrator is brought to justice."

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
