Second Female Body Found In Downriver Area

BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- A second female body has been found in the Downriver area on Saturday afternoon.

A second female body has been found in Wayne County's Brownstown Township on Saturday after the body of Chelsea Bruck was found in nearby Ash Township on Friday. Authorities say that the two cases are not related.

Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office spokesperson Ryan Bridges explained to WWJ's Lauren Barthold what authorities know so far.

"The body found in Brownstown is in the possession of the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office," Bridges said. "It's on the docket to receive an autopsy tomorrow and the body has yet to be identified."

The second body was found in a body of water, while the first was found in a wooded area 10 miles from where 22-year-old Chelsea Bruck disappeared in October. The two locations are under 10 miles apart.
