Searchers Find 1 Boater Dead In Lake Michigan, Still Looking For 2nd

GOLDEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Searchers have found one man's body in Lake Michigan and are looking for a second man after they apparently jumped from a boat to retrieve a net and a fish.

The Oceana County sheriff's office says 62-year-old Steve Bruce jumped into the water Sunday night near Little Sable Point to retrieve the net and was followed by 53-year-old Brian Waslusky.

Waslusky was pronounced dead after being pulled from the lake by the Coast Guard. Bruce has not been found.

A third angler, Russell Pierce, remained on the boat.

A number of agencies were involved in the search Monday for Bruce.
