Seahawks Draft Michigan State DT Malik McDowell At No. 35

PHILADELPHIA (CBS Detroit) -- With the third pick in the second round of the NFL Draft -- No. 35 overall -- the Seattle Seahawks selected Michigan State defensive tackle Malik McDowell on Friday.

The junior from Southfield High School is the first Spartans player taken in the 2017 Draft. McDowell recorded 90 tackles, including 24.5 for losses and 7.5 sacks, in 36 career games at Michigan State.
