Ryan Tannehill's Knee Not As Serious As 1st Feared

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Ryan Tannehill's left knee injury is not as serious as first feared and no surgery is expected, but it's uncertain whether he'll play again this season.
The Miami Dolphins quarterback's injury was diagnosed as a sprained ACL and MCL, coach Adam Gase said Monday.
When Tannehill was hurt Sunday against Arizona, the Dolphins (8-5) feared he had torn his ACL, which would have meant surgery and a long rehabilitation.
Despite the surprising news, Matt Moore is expected to make his first start since 2011 on Saturday against the New York Jets.
Tannehill limped out of Sunday's win in the third quarter after being hit by defensive tackle Calais Campbell as he released a completion. Miami led 21-9 when Tannehill was hurt and won 26-23 on a last-second field goal.
