Royal Oak Police Make Arrest In Connection With Hookah Joe Shooting

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - Royal Oak police have arrested one of two suspects wanted in connection with a weekend shooting outside of Hookah Joe on Washington Avenue.

Police released few details in the statement except to say, "The Royal Oak detectives have literally been working around the clock to identify the suspect and bring him into custody," according to  Police Chief Corrigan O'Donohue.

The shooting happened in the early morning hours of March 20. According to police an argument broke out in the lounge and at least one person was escorted out of the building by security.

Authorities said the suspects fired one round at a person outside the lounge then pulled their car around and fired more shots into the building striking and wounding an employee in the head.

That person is expected to survive.
