Roommate Girl-Fight Ends With Stabbing, Arrest

WATERFORD TWP. (WWJ) - Authorities say what began as an argument between two roommates ended with a stabbing and one of the women in handcuffs.

Police say the responded around 4:20 a.m. Wednesday to the 5000 block of Highland Road, off Crescent Lake Road, after receiving a report about a fight.

Officers arrived on the scene and discovered that two female roommates were having a verbal argument when the suspect, a 24-year-old, allegedly stabbed the other woman, a 28-year-old, in the upper arm area.

Police say the injury was non-life threatening and the victim was treated at the scene.

The suspect was arrested and lodged at the Oakland County Jail.

Police say the case will be reviewed by the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office for possible felonious assault charges.

It's not clear why the women were fighting. Names of those involved were not immediately released.
