I-94 Reopens After Rollover Accident, 2 People Hospitalized

DETROIT (WWJ) - Officials were forced to close a popular section of I-94 after a vehicle rolled over just as the morning rush hour was getting underway.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. Friday on eastbound I-94 at Grand River Avenue on Detroit's west side.

It appears only one vehicle was involved, although other circumstances were not immediately clear.

Officials say two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Their current conditions are unknown.

The freeway was closed for nearly three hours while police investigated, but has since reopened.
