Robbers Posing As Cops Ask Homeowner 'Have You Ever Been Robbed Before?'

DETROIT (WWJ) Detroit police are looking for a group of four police impostors who robbed a home on the city's southwest side.

They escaped in an older silver minivan, reported  WWJ's Mike Campbell.

It happened on Lockwood in southwest Detroit, where a homeowner said men started  banging on the door, claiming to be cops.

They made off with costume jewelry, $1,000 cash and a 52 inch television.

"The robbers asked if they had ever been robbed before, and said 'Now you have,'" Campbell reported.
