Robber Wearing 'Detroit VS Everybody' Hoodie Breaks Into Car At West Side Gas Station [VIDEO]

DETROIT (WWJ) - A pair of crooks who have been breaking into cars on Detroit's west side were recently caught on camera during a robbery at a gas station and now, police need your help to bring them into custody.

The latest incident happened around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 4 at the Mobil gas station in the 18000 block of West McNichols, just off the Southfield Freeway on the city's west side.

Police say a 35-year-old woman had exited her vehicle and entered the gas station when the suspects pulled up alongside her car in a black Ford Edge SUV. At that point, a passenger got out of the SUV and used a tool to break the driver's side window of the woman's vehicle. The man then crawled through the broken window and, with his feet dangling off the ground, stole several items from inside the car before its alarm started going off.

The suspect quickly retreated and jumped back in the SUV, which sped away from the scene.

Police have released security footage from the gas station in hopes that the public might be able to identify the crooks, who investigators say are responsible for several larcenies on the city's west side.
