Reports: Woman Slashes Detroit Police Officer In Face
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit Police officer is reportedly in temporary-serious condition after being slashed in the face by a suspect on the city's west side.
The incident happened Saturday morning when the officer responded to a call in the 19300 block of Santa Rosa, in a neighborhood just north of 7 Mile Road and Livernois Avenue.
When the officer arrived at the vacant home, he was reportedly slashed in the face by a female suspect. Other circumstances were not immediately known.
The officer called for backup and after other officers arrived on the scene, the woman was taken into custody. The officer, whose name was not released, was rushed to a local hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
