Reports Of People Sickened At Kellogg Center Up To About 250
EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Reports of people sickened after attending events at Michigan State University's Kellogg Center in East Lansing are up to about 250.
Ingham County Health Officer Linda Vail tells the Lansing State Journal that much of the increase is due to more people finding out about the outbreak of the stomach illness.
The health department's investigation has expanded from Feb. 18 events to those from Feb. 16 through Sunday.
A cause of the outbreak has not been determined. More samples were expected to be analyzed Friday.
Vail has said "the most common symptoms are vomiting and diarrhea" and that "people have recovered quickly and without complication."
Kellogg Center voluntarily suspended food service operations Monday and Tuesday. Food was served again starting Wednesday after the facility was cleaned.
