Reports: Michigan Makes Offer To Jim Harbaugh

The University of Michigan has reportedly made an offer to make Jim Harbaugh college football's highest paid coach.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport has reported that Michigan has offered Harbaugh a six-year contract for $48 million.

Joe Pequeno, of CBS 5 in Arizona, reports the deal is worth slightly more, at six years and $49 million.

Harbaugh originally had the chance to be the head coach for Michigan in 2000 but instead opted to leave the Stanford Cardinals for the NFL's San Francisco 49ers.
