Child Shot, Injured During Apparent Murder-Suicide

KALAMAZOO (WWJ/AP) - Police say three people have been shot, including two fatally, at a home in southwestern Michigan following what was described as a family disturbance.

The victims -- a man, woman and child -- were discovered around 6:40 a.m. Thursday in the front yard of a home in Kalamazoo.

The adults were fatally wounded. The child was transported to a nearby hospital and last reported in critical condition.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said the gunman has been accounted for and there's no danger to the public. Reports indicate that one of the victims was the shooter, and the deaths are possibly being investigated as a murder-suicide.

An investigation is ongoing.
