The Tigers traded away their sure-handed center fielder Austin Jackson in order to bring in former Cy Young Award winning pitch David Price before the trade deadline on July 31.

Since the trade, the Tigers have platooned Rajai Davis and Ezequiel Carrera in center field and in my opinion that is not the solution.

The solution may come via Cuba. According to MLB.com the Detroit Tigers are "serious players" in the hunt for center fielder Rusney Castillo.

Twenty eight teams attended Castillo's workout in late July and the Tigers followed that up with an individual workout.

The Red Sox and Yankees are also reportedly in the running for Castillo.

If the Tigers wanted to add Castillo to their roster this season and be eligible for the playoffs he must sign with the team and be on the roster by the end of August.
