Crews at the scene Tuesday morning tell WWJ's Mike Campbell that a semi-truck driver apparently fell asleep while traveling eastbound on 8 Mile and smashed into the front of the brick building, which was closed at the time.
The driver had to be rescued from his vehicle. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
No further injuries were reported.
