CBS DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings have acquired 38-year-old New Jersey Devils defenseman Marek Zidlicky, according to multiple reports. Bill Roose, who writes for the team website, reported the Red Wings traded a pair of picks to secure Zidlicky's services for the remainder of the season.
#RedWings have landed a right-handed shooting D-man, Marek Zidlicky from NJD for 2015 conditional second-rounder and 2016 third-rounder.

Looks like conditional third-round draft pick in 2016, though the pick could be second round if #RedWings make it to the Stanley Cup finals.

Zidlicky, who has amassed 23 points in 63 games this season for New Jersey, will be a free agent after this season.
With the trade deadline rapidly approaching, the Red Wings were also reportedly interested in 29-year-old Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Dion Phaneuf, but he has six years remaining on his seven-year, $49 million contract.
