Report: Pizza Delivery Shootout On Detroit's Northwest Side

DETROIT (WWJ) - A pizza delivery driver was involved in a shootout with an armed robber who tried to rob him on Detroit's northwest side.

According to Fox 2 News, the driver pulled his own gun and was involved in shootout after arriving to an abandoned house around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night and was confronted.

The house, located on Kentucky near Joy Road, was vacant and a suspect was waiting for the driver inside.

Reportedly, the suspect was wounded and found on the next street over, where he was arrested. The driver's girlfriend -- a passenger in the car -- was also wounded. None of the injuries suffered are life threatening.

The driver is believed to be uninjured.
