Simply known as "Hockeytown," the new Detroit Red Wings arena could soon be getting a new nickname.

A story posted by Freep.com says Olympia Entertainment just got the trademarks for "The Baddest Bowl" and "The Baddest Bowl in Hockey." The story goes on to say that the trademark won't only apply to hockey, but also basketball games, curling, boxing, gymnastics and indoor football.

According to the Detroit Free Press:

The Ilitches' Olympia Entertainment recently acquired two trademarks that could be applied to the arena that is under construction and scheduled to open by fall 2017: "The Baddest Bowl" and "The Baddest Bowl in Hockey," according to records with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

While talking with the media CEO of Ilitch Holdings, Chris Ilitch, there is a sponsor for the naming rights of the new Detroit Red Wings arena and that could be announced in the next few months.

President and CEO of Olympia Entertainment, Tom Wilson, joined 97.1 The Ticket's "Inside Hockeytown" program Tuesday night and talked about the new arena.

"Chris [Ilitch] was asked about naming rights, and he said there will be an announcement, whether there is somebody or there isn't somebody, sometime within the next 30 to 60 days a final decision will be made, it's their decision and we will wait and see."

With the naming rights of the new arena upcoming, what would you want to name the new arena?
