Although it appears a long shot, the Lions reportedly requested permission to interview Duke Tobin, the Bengals' personnel chief, for their open general manager position.

The Detroit Free Press also reported that Tobin would not be leaving Cincinnati, even though Detroit has put in its request.
Many top names staying put. Add Tobin to the likes of DeCosta, Paton, Cessario not interested in leaving right now https://t.co/dVCJhryeRe

This week kicks off a busy few days on the NFL carousel, both coaching and front office. On Monday, Schefter reported that the Lions would interview the Patriots' Bob Quinn and the Seahawks' Trent Kirchner.
Ernie Accorsi is currently leading the charge for the Lions' search process. The former NFL general manager (with the Colts, Browns and Giants) was hired before the season ended, to help new president Rod Wood, team owner Martha Firestone Ford and the rest of the team's board find the next GM.
Neither Wood nor Ford have commented publicly about the search.
