Report: Lions Re-Sign LB Tahir Whitehead

The Detroit Lions made a move to solidify their defense Thursday afternoon.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Detroit Lions have re-signed LB Tahir Whitehead to a two-year contract.
The #Lions are re-signing LB Tahir Whitehead, source said. He had been visiting the #Bucs today.

It was reported earlier in the day that Whitehead had been meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The deal is reportedly for roughly $8 million over two years.

A fifth round draft pick by the Lions in the 2012 NFL Draft appeared in 16 games (starting 8) for the Lions in 2015. He recorded 50 tackles and had one interception.
Wednesday the Lions re-signed DT Haloti Ngata and signed WR Marvin Jones and SS Tavon Wilson.
