CBS DETROIT - Detroit Lions safety James Ihedigbo, who had been holding out from participating in offseason workouts as he seeks a new contract, has reported to the team's facility in Allen Park.

The Lions have their first set of OTAs this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The team sent out a picture of Ihedigbo on the practice field.

If Ihedigbo, a reliable starter for Detroit last season, does not receive a new contract, he will receive a base salary of $1.1 million this year. One of the team's backup safeties, Isa Abdul-Quddus, who was solid in several starts for the team in 2014, will make a base salary of $1.2 million this season.

Lions head coach Jim Caldwell said earlier this offseason that he wanted Ihedigbo in attendance "pronto."

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press first reported Ihedigbo would be participating in OTAs.
