Report: Free-Agent Safety Louis Delmas Visits Steelers

The Lions released safety Louis Delmas last Thursday in order to save $6 million on their salary cap. But at least one team is showing interest in procuring him for their team.

On Monday, Delmas, expected to be one of the top free agent safeties this offseason, visited with the Steelers, according to ESPN.com.

Delmas is only 26 years old, and he's coming off a three-interception season after starting all 16 games with Detroit last year. Pro Football Focus ranked him as the No. 26 safety out of 86 in 2013, but Delmas has struggled with the health of his knees during his five-year career (he missed 13 combined games in 2011 and 2012).
