Report: Ex-Lions WR Titus Young Arrested In L.A. For Assault With A Deadly Weapon

LOS ANGELES (CBS Detroit) -- Troubled former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young is back in the news for all the wrong reasons...again.

According to a report from TMZ Sports, Young was arrested in Los Angeles for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly being involved in a street fight.

"According to documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Young caused "serious bodily injury" to the other man in the fight on January 30th.

We're told he was later charged with felony battery with serious bodily injury -- and if convicted, he could face up to 4 years for the battery ... plus an additional 5 years due to his priors."

Young was cut by the Lions in February 2013.

The former Boise State Bronco was arrested three times in one week in May 2013 -- once for a DUI, then for trying to steal his car from an impound lot, and again for burglary.

Young, who the Lions drafted in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, was again arrested on "battery with serious bodily injury" in July 2014.
