When the Detroit Tigers traded David Price and received Daniel Norris back in the deal, I thought Norris would wind up being a top starter for the Tigers.

Norris pitched well for the Tigers in 8 games in 2015.

According to Jason Beck of MLB.com, Norris won't be ready to start the season with the Tigers because tightness in his lower back earlier this week.

"He won't be at this point," Ausmus said prior to Thursday's game against the Blue Jays. "From a pitch count perspective, he probably wouldn't be ready by Opening Day."

Norris was competing with Shane Greene, Matt Boyd or Buck Farmer as the fifth starter. Jason Beck's story goes on to say that Norris visited a back specialist Thursday to determine the reasons for the lower back stiffness.

If Norris is not ready for the season, who should be the Tigers fifth starter?
