Renewed Effort To Find Suspects In Murder Of Grosse Pointe Farm Teen

DETROIT (WWJ) - The search for Paige Stalker's killer continued with renewed effort on Sunday.

Activist Malik Shabazz, CrimeStoppers, and the Grosse Pointe Farm teen's family have teamed together to go door to door in the area where the high school student was fatally shot last December.

"The murderers are still out there," said Shabazz, "and I put plural on it because there is a driver and a shooter - is my understanding but they are still out there to murder other children or other people."

A few dozen people, including family and concerned citizens, covered four-square blocks on the boarder of Detroit and Grosse Pointe.

Though things have been hard, Paige's mother, Jennifer says the community needs to rally around itself to end violence and destruction.

"All of our children's lives matter," said Jennifer. "And it's really important we continue this as long as we can, not only for Paige but for other children in our community.

"And if we can get everyone's support - maybe together we can stop this violence."

"We can not live where our children or anybody is being murdered," emphasized Shabazz.

CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of $1,200 and a separate reward of over $150,000 has been put up by a group of private donors.
