Redskins WR Garcon, FanDuel Resolve Dispute Out Of Court

WASHINGTON (AP) — A lawyer for Washington Redskins receiver Pierre Garcon says the player has voluntarily dropped his lawsuit against daily fantasy sports website FanDuel after settling out of court.

The lawyer, Brian Murphy, says Tuesday that Garcon and FanDuel "resolved the matter on confidential terms."

Garcon filed suit in October in federal court in Maryland, where the Redskins play home games, accusing FanDuel of using his name and likeness in TV ads and on its website without his consent.

A spokesperson for FanDuel, which has a marketing partnership with the Redskins, declined comment Tuesday.

The daily fantasy industry attracted additional scrutiny in recent months after a multimillion-dollar advertising blitz at the start of the NFL season.
