Redford Court Sets 'Discount Day' For Certain Ticketed Violations

REDFORD TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Get out of jail free? Not quite but Redford's 17th District Court is trying to make life a little more comfortable for folks who have outstanding tickets.

On Thursday, March 10, people with eligible tickets will have a chance clear delinquent citations in person without fear of being arrested upon their voluntary appearance.

The court says depending on the status of the offense, certain fees, such as the bench warrant fee and the late fee may be waived. All payable parking, traffic, and misdemeanor violations issued by police agencies within the Charter Township of Redford are included in the 'Discount Day' program.

In order to qualify for the program, you've got to pay the balance of the ticket in full.

Bring cash, certified check, credit or debit card to make your payment. You can call the court at (313) 387-2790 for more information.
