Red Wings Recall Joakim Andersson From Grand Rapids

DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Red Wings recalled center Joakim Andersson from Grand Rapids of the AHL on Friday.

Andersson has split the season between the Red Wings and Griffins. He has a goal and two assists in 28 games for Detroit.

In 204 regular-season games with the Red Wings, he has 15 goals and 21 assists.

Detroit is trying to secure its 25th consecutive playoff berth. The Red Wings finish the regular season against the Rangers in New York on Saturday.
