If you have never had the chance to see professional hockey players play up close and personal, I suggest you do one day.

To watch the Detroit Red Wings, or even a minor league hockey team, up close is a sight to see. The speed the puck comes off the blade of the hockey stick is amazing.

The Detroit Red Wings are in preparation to take on the Tampa Bay Lighting in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and it appears the players are hyped to start the series.

Red Wings play-by-play announcer Ken Kal tweeted out the following photo with the caption, "Hard Shot!!! One of Red Wings blasts busted the glass!"

That is amazing that a slap shot would shatter that glass. That glass is essentially unbreakable and you usually only see that type of thing in a video game.

MLive's Ansar Khan believes that it was Kyle Quincey who took the shot that shattered the glass.

If this is a sign of things to come, Lightning goalie Ben Bishop should beware.
