Record Ninja Turtle Gathering To Be Attempted At Comic Book, Martial Arts Convention D-Lux

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans are in every corner of the world. TMNT is popular among men, women and the fandom spans multiple generations. It's not suprising that event organizers have had success bringing together record-breaking crowds to dress up as the martial arts crime fighting reptiles.

The Gibraltar Trade Center in Mount Clemens, Michigan, will be a TMNT mecca on March 28, 2014 at 6 p.m. in an attempt to break the current Guinness World Record (836) of people dressed as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in one place. The event is part of the first annual D-Lux Entertainment Expo taking place March 28-30.

Bonus! Meet professional wrestling legend Bill Goldberg, check out the great amateur costumes known as cosplay and get free pizza delivered by Ernie Reyes Jr. in a full-size TMNT van. Yes, he's the man who played the delivery guy in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze".

A $5.00 discount on convention admission will be given to any guests who arrive in a ninja turtle costume. A t-shirt with the shell motif on the front and red, orange, blue, or purple mask are the minimum to count for the record. Official attempt t-shirt and masks will be provided at the event bundled with the cost of admission.

That's not the only record setting attempt. Kevin "Big K' Taylor will also attempt to break 600 bricks bare handed in 60 seconds.

According to organizers, "... the D-Lux expo is a comic book, costuming, and vendor expo, with comic book, movie, professional wrestling, martial arts, and MMA entertainers in attendance for photos, autographs, and workshops."
