Record Crowd Sees Manchester United Win

ANN ARBOR (CBS Detroit) A record soccer crowd of more than 109,000 people filled Michigan Stadium Saturday to see Manchester United defeat Real Madrid 3-1.
The match, which was an international exhibition between two soccer powerhouses, and featured some of biggest players in the world.
Wayne Rooney started the game for Manchester United, and nearly headed the ball as it traveled in the air for the team's second goal.
Christiano Ronaldo entered the game midway through the second half for Real Madrid, but did not score.
Real Madrid's only score came in the first half on a penalty kick by Gareth Bale.
The game was a sellout and had a record attendance for a soccer game in the United States with 109,318 - many wearing the red shirts of Manchester United.
Before the game, lots were packed with tailgaters similar to Michigan football Saturdays.
