Record Cold Grips Michigan

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - It's not just been cold in Michigan, it's been record cold.
The National Weather Service reported Monday that records were broken across the state this weekend due to the cold.
Detroit's low temperature of -9 Monday morning tied the record low set in 1904.
Records were set throughout the weekend in Flint with lows reaching -17 Sunday, and -21 Monday morning. Sunday's high temperature of 2 in Flint was also record.
In Grand Rapids, a record low of 8 below was reported Sunday morning breaking the old record, 7 below, in 1963 and 1904. Saginaw had a record low of -13 Sunday, and the 2 degree high temperature was also the lowest high temperature recorded since the 8 degrees in 1920.
