High School Principal Allegedly Assaulted While Trying To Break Up 'Girl Fight' [VIDEO]

CLAWSON (WWJ) - Police are investigating whether to file charges in a fight between two girls and the principal at a Detroit-area high school.

The incident happened Thursday during lunch hour at Clawson High School, on Main Street just north of 14 Mile Road in Clawson.

Police tell WWJ they received a call from school administrators about two girls fighting in the cafeteria. When officers arrived on the scene, they learned that the principal, Ryan Sines, had apparently tried to intervene.

Video of the incident was captured by multiple students, who had crowded around the ongoing brawl. At one point, the girls apparently turn their frustrations to Sines, swinging their fists rapidly in his direction. Click here to see another angle of the incident.

Police say the fight was eventually broken up and no one was seriously injured.

Clawson Police Detective Dale Mills told WWJ's Sandra McNeill he has already spoken with the girls involved and is still reviewing the videos. Mills did not elaborate on what started the fight.

Police are expected to interview Sines on Saturday to determine whether or not charges will be filed.
