Pregnant Woman In Serious Condition After 2-Car Crash
ROSEVILLE (AP) — A pregnant motorist has been injured after her vehicle was struck twice by another driver while stopped at a red traffic signal in Roseville, north of Detroit.
Police say 26-year-old Natasha Watts of Fraser was arraigned Friday on a third offense operating a vehicle causing serious bodily injury and driving on a revoked license charges.
The 42-year-old pregnant woman was listed in serious condition at a hospital. Her vehicle was struck in the rear about 2:30 a.m. Friday and then hit again as the driver of the second vehicle tried to pull off.
Police say alcohol played a role in the crash and that Watts has two previous operating while impaired convictions. She was ordered jailed Friday on a $50,000 bond pending a Nov. 4 preliminary examination.
