Power Restored To Nearly All DTE Customers Hit By Storm

TAYLOR (WWJ) - It's safe to open the refrigerator now. If you were one of the thousands affected by the recent power outages due to the storms -- you should be able to fill the fridge without fear of losing food.
Repair crews have restored power to nearly all DTE Energy customers who lost electric service in the two waves of storms that moved through southeast Michigan late Thursday night and again on Friday evening.

As of 5:30 a.m. Monday, about 150 customers remain out of service.

Crews will complete restoration of the remaining outages throughout the day. But work will continue in some of the hardest hit areas to make final repairs to equipment that was damaged in the severe weather.
