Pontiac Man Struck, Killed While Biking Across Telegraph Road

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Police say a 62-year-old man died after he was hit by a car while riding his bike across Telegraph Road.

It happened just before 3 p.m. Wednesday near Elizabeth Lake Road in Waterford Township.

According to police, it appears the Pontiac man was crossing westbound in the crosswalk when he was struck by a 65-year-old female motorist traveling southbound.

The driver, a Monroe resident, was not injured.

Police do not believe that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

The victim's name was not immediately released. An investigation is underway to determine who was at fault.
