There are things that I'm pretty certain about in life. I will never be 6 feet tall, my hair isn't growing back and the Lions won't win the Super Bowl.

ABC News political analyst Matthew Dowd took a pretty bold stance on his Twitter page Wednesday morning, writing, "It's time for the media to be honest: Detroit Lions have better chance of winning the super bowl this year than Trump has of being President."

The Lions are 2-3 on the year and have 100-1 odds to win the Super Bowl, according to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. I'm no political analyst,  but I'm pretty sure that there are only two serious contenders for the presidency: Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. So all in all the odds for Donald Trump to be the next POTUS are far better than the Lions being among the final two teams at the end of the year.

Nate Silver says Hillary Clinton has an 86 percent chance of beating Trump. It's a hefty jump from the nearly 50/50 odds he reported over the summer.

That leaves the Republican candidate with a 13.9 percent chance of winning.

So, you're saying there's a chance? Apparently there is.

On the other side the Lions would have to pass both the Minnesota Vikings (5-0) and the Green Bay Packers (3-1) to even think about sniffing a playoff opportunity.

It's time for you to vote: Do you think the Lions have a better chance at winning the Super Bowl than Trump has of being the president?
