Police: Woman Stole $1,600 Worth Of Nail Polish From CVS [PHOTOS]

LAKE ORION (WWJ) - Police in Lake Orion are hoping the public can help identify a woman who is wanted for stealing $1,600 worth of nail polish from a local business.

The thefts happened at the CVS Pharmacy on South Broadway and Atwater streets. Employees notified police on Friday after discovering nearly 100 bottles of nail polish were missing from the store.

Officials reviewed surveillance footage and identified a suspect -- a white female approximately 5'03" tall and 130 lbs. with dark hair.

Police the first theft occurred around 3 p.m. on December 26. The woman was alone when she entered the store and proceeded to place a large amount of nail polish bottles in her purse before leaving the store without paying.

The second theft occurred around 11:40 a.m. on January 7 and this time, the woman brought company. Police say the woman entered the store with a man and placed what was left of the nail polish on the shelf into her purse. The couple then left the store without paying for the merchandise.
